Welcome to the Mercian Herb Group, a Herb Society affliated group that covers the Midlands,
or as the Anglo Saxons called it Mercia. The area of Mercia includes
South Mercia, the area south of the River Trent (S. Staffs. &
N. Warks), North Mercia the area north of the River Trent (N. Staffs,
S. Derbys & Notts) and the surrounding areas of Outer Mercia
which includes S. Lincs, Leics, Rutland, Northants & N. Oxon.

MHG hold regular monthly meetings, which consist of a variety of things including herb walks, tours of herb gardens, demonstrations
and talks. On the web we provide a forum, articles and a special
area that contains content exclusive to MHG members only. In the future we'll also
have an electronic newsletter 'Wort Lore' which will be available to members as well
as a downloads area which contains a variety of interesting herb
related items from desktops wallpapers to hand outs from our workshops.
